I went, and my oldest son who is 19 had the day off and went with me as well.
We also met with our Senator (Kiffmeyer) and Representative (Lucero). They are both on our side, but it was nice to meet them anyway. It was good that my son got to go. He is strongly pro-gun and pro-liberty, and is looking forward to getting his carry permit in a little over a year. There will undoubtedly be hearings later, we will need to come back then to speak against the bills we don't like, and for the ones we do. I will be there again when the time comes. |
| That makes sense, I think I remember seeing he's a GOCRA volunteer. I haven't met him even though it looks like we're pretty close. I should work on getting to know more of you guys in person. I'd certainly like to do more for gun rights here than simply donate and attend events. Those things are good but keeping what we have, and getting back what we've lost, will take more effort than that. |
