Just as the title states. Anybody have a location local to the twin cities that a person could pick up some NiCrome wire? Thanks in advance.

I think hobby stores might carry it.
Google also says Radio Shack wire wound resistors use Nichrome.

Theres always McMaster-Carr, our stuff at work always shows up next day.

You could always go to a garage sale and buy a toaster for a quarter and take it apart. Some heating elements are round wire some are flat ... cheaper than stores and you don't have to drive very far. It also has the added bonus of electrical and thermal insulating parts inside.

You could also take it out of a hair dryer from walmart.
