Excellent idea!!!! I'm in!! hen edit; I'd rather shoot outside, than AF. |

So far it is Saturday the 18th at Noon. I hope this time works-out for people. We will need to "solidify" the date/time by this weekend or so. If anyone screams loud enough, we can change it to Sunday the 19th. I have a friend/fellow ARF.commer who is a member there. He might be able to help out. I will give him a call tomorrow. Yes Bob, that would be you =) |

Ok... sounds like fun El nino has been keeping us above average on temps, so should be no big deal. I have a few 1 gallon jugs I can bring (filled of course). As to firewood, gas stations sell little bundles, and you can find pressed logs on sale cheap enough. Jack |

Where the hell is Princeton? I mean, I need to know some things first before I can make it... I might have to work at 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM that night (Depending on the shifts) So I'll need to figure out these things: 1.) 2.) 3.) Can anybody give me a jumpstart if my Car putters out (It's been getting unreliable lately)? 4.) 5.) How many friends can I bring? I was going to be bringing some new shooters if it were @ armored fire (to give them a more 'structured' exposure/introduction to shooting). I will likely bring the newbies out shooting sometime before that saturday then... That way I will get them to learn more safety if they do go here... |

So the date is set then??? Saturday the 18th correct??? I am planning on asking a Class 3 buddy of mine to attend,...(nice toys)heavy.gif,.. and don't want to waste his time if it's not set in stone. Would like to know before Sat. Sounds like a great time, nice range also mmmmmh,....bump fire...hanks- |

LMFAO Lurch! I've been single for over a year now, and I now can relate to needing a quickie whenever possible. Now that I've got a job, I can buy more toys to use during those quickies, and the best part is that I can get quickies more often too! Regardless of all the girls I've been dating lately! Ahh... The joys of having a job, and no GF. Wait a second, we are talking about quickies to Armored Fire? Aren't we? Then again, they're all the same, aren't they?

| Any additional information as to what to bring? Does someone have firewood yet? I told a friend of mine about this, he's going to bring his Rem 700 .308 VLS w/ Leupold (If he can make it). Other than that, not much new for me yet. My new job is pretty kewl. I'll be pi$$ed as hell if I get scheduled that day! I already got scheduled this saturday for a night shift at last minute... Hi HammAR! Sure, more the merrier! I think we have 7 or 8 people so far, with a couple people bringing friends etc. It will be $10/head. Bring food/non-alc beverages for yourself and your toys! Maybe a small donation of firewood too. Not too sure on the firewood situation just yet! Eric |

I'm pretty sure I can make it. I have truck loads of junk wood pallets that I cut up and burn in my dads barn wood stove. I will fill up my pick up (if you want me to)and bring it up. I can also "weld up" some plate targets. I'll run over to St Paul and see about getting some more steel plate for targets. The scrap yards usually will give it away for free. Neighborhood, I always carry jumper cableswith me. I'd offer a ride, but I probably won't come back until Sunday night. My folks live just a little north of there. And if it snows befor then, the Polaris will be calling for me. I'll need to take her out for a romp if there's white stuff on the ground. BTW, Neighborhood, when did you acieve "Mod" status??? Congrats!!! |

Sleepy, That sounds GREAT! I talked to Ken this morning and it is definitely a "GO". We can plan on shooting form 11 AM till about 5 pm or so (dark o'clock). Price is set at $10 per person use fees. They usually charge extra for extra guns, but he waived it (Ken is a VERY nice guy). Every needs to be on their best behavior. Dont wreck stuff that can be wrecked etc... Hope to see everyone there! Sleepy717, Thanks for the offer of the Jump Start. I just got my electrical system checked out. I found out that my Alternator is dying, but not yet dead. My battery is fine otherwise. It's just running at a low 46.6 Amps! I bought a second car battery, a battery box, and some jumper cables so that if I'm ever on the road, I can jump my own car all by myself. I now trust my car better. I still need to change out the alternator with a new one when I get the $$ though. Also, I got the Moderator status about 3? days ago? I'm only a moderator for the Minnesota Hometown discussions though. I just have to watch for things getting out of line. Basically it just gives me justification for my addiction of checking the local forums twice a day... DevilsAdvocate, It was great seeing you again today! I was wondering if you can IM me about what those prices were for the case of ammo again... I forgot where & how much it costs. I'm checking Sportsmansguide online now... Also preparing photos for upload too. |

iNuhbad... I've had to do "put one battery on the passenger floor and run the cables out the window duct taped to the fender and in the hood to the bad battery" befor. You get some pretty funny looks from people doing that one. Do you have access to tools? That alt. should be a pretty easy one to swap out. Sleepy717 |
| Thanks Devils! I'd love to learn how to do it myself! I'm not too good with complex engines, and never did anything with belts before... I'd like to learn how though. The only engines I've ever worked on were for my single-cylinder antique enduro dirt bike, a Honda SL-70 72cc black & yellow beauty. Man I miss that bike! It had a nice & simple engine/design. When I get the right alternator for it, I'll give you a call! Thanks for the educational offer! |

Hey! I hope to see everyone there on Saturday around 11 AM, otherwise I would have gotten up early for no good reason! I was thinking we could shoot till dusk, then go out and find some Pizza and a beer or two! Whadda Ya Say? Mat...You're gonna be sick ffor work, right? |
YUP! I've got ALL DAY OFF! The other friend that's coming is a newbie, and is under 21 though Depending upon where the bar is, I might be able to drop my friends off & still go... |
HEHEHE!!! Us AR15.com guys shouldn't have ANY trouble. Just rotate down the trigger guard and wear gloves/mittens, snow pants, long undies, boots, double thick socks, hats... Come ON! We're TRUE MINNESOTANS AREN'T WE? I'm a minnesnowtan! I love a good snowfall. Nothing like throwing on snow whites & crawling through the snow, plinking small game with a .22 LR through the snowy woods! Or did you miss out on that part of childhood? |
| I havent said anything until now because I was sceduled to work saturday, but I now have the day off!! Hope you wont mind one more. I just finished my trunkgun project(well close enough) and I will bring my oly 9mm setup, AR7 preban and...maybe someother cool stuff. I need to go and pick up ammo tomorrow morning. Snow would be kinda cool on saturday! Doesnt matter as long as we are all blasting! |

My friend wants to know a couple things: 1. Are there bench rests in the heated trailer? 2. What's the capacity of this heated trailer? He might need to buy a Harris Bipod before coming, and he needs to find out if this will be necessary. Thanks for the info if you guys know... |
|
So what's the official attendance count up to? I'm bringing 2 friends, so my total is: 3 I think I counted a total of 10 people who will be showing up??? who else was going to bring a +1 or whatever? I'll tell my friend that he's likely going to want that bipod. Thx for the fast reply guys! |
