Do we have a logo for the MN HTF? I was looking at the other state logo's in the ARFCOM store.

Something like this maybe...

Idk. I like the idea, not sure thats "it" though. Needs something.
Not to be an ass, cause I sure ain't got a creative bone in my body. just offering an opinion. Take it for what it cost ya.

That I can't answer just doesn't do it for me. Like I said zero creativity resides in these bones!

I would be in for one.  I don't know what could be added...but I do agree that it's in it's infant stages of being complete.
5/13/2011 5:16:19 PM EDT
[#10]
i would add a rifle or some color waving flag or use a outline of the state or a cutout.

Well, it will have to wait until Monday, I dont have photoshop on my home PC.

If there are any photoshop experts out there, feel free to spice it up!

I think it is perfect as is.

I prefer the subtle approach due to OPSEC/PERSEC.

Gun logos tend to garner more attention than I want and announce to others I have guns at home.

I don't even put my NRA sticker on my car. But I do have a subtle ARFCOM BFL on there, most folks won't have a clue about the meaning, those that do know are very unlikey to be a threat (exept for the builttoughf250 guy, he's freakin' dangerous )

YMMV

Just a heads up on using the Bolt Face Logo, you will need to get permission from Goatboy

before you use it on anything because it is a registered trademark

Nah, not afraid to drive it. I just don't want to advertise (on my daily driver). It's your truck and its all good to me.

Yep. But to you folks, it is no secret I own guns, and the risk is lower in this crowd than in the general public.

wait, how did i get dragged into this?

im the OPSEC type also. everytime i think about putting a Dont Tread On Me sticker on my vehicles- then i wonder if that would make my vehicle be more likely to get broken into by someone looking for a free gun, or keyed by a liberal piece of shit.

then there is the fact that i use my vehicles for my business, and it might cost me some business.

on the other hand, when i pull up to do an estimate and the people have Obama stickers on their cars- the price of the work goes up before i even see the job  so needless to say, i do know for a fact that bumper stickers can cost you money

I think its a good start, but I do think it needs something.  Not really more, but maybe have the boltface the dominant feature with the state in the foreground.  Just my $.02.

I agree with this, except the BTF250 stuff, I don't know him personally so..., the more subtlety the better IMO.

I'm just teasing with a good guy who frequents this forum. He's actually A-OK, and if you ever need a tree removed or a stump ground, if you are in his service area, he's the guy to go to.

ETA: thanks for the work on this, "live-free-or-die".

I like it. Like the subtle contrast, black and gunmetal. I think a white BFL on a black state would be too harsh.
5/16/2011 10:58:50 AM EDT

I say larger BFL, and the state in where the firing pin is, that way it can be consistent for all states.

if it is a small deacal say 6" then it probally wont draw much attention if it has a rifle incorperated.  if it was larger than 10" yah maybe.  if it was to be a back of a t-shirt size then it needs more added.

We could look at doing two... One that is low pro and another that is more high viz
5/17/2011 4:22:30 PM EDT

Keep in mind that this project will allow you to mix/match with any other designs. As we continue to create new designs, you can create new shirt options. If you want to keep it low profile, you will have a few choice design to mix from, but if someone else wants to flaunt the love, they can slap a big AR on the shirt and the MN logo too.

Why not the image from the state flag?

Farmer plowing his field with a rifle (musket (?)) near by.

Change the musket for an AR, and put the bolt logo around it.

Needs a mosquito with viking horns on it, too

Or a mosquito wearing a viking helmet, with the BFL on the helmet

(by viking helmet, I mean the big horned thing...not a football helmet)

Here's the first concept for you guys. It's kind of out of the norm when you compare it to the other HTF designs, but I was tired of flags and rifles and wanted something that would stand out on the shirts. We'll be starting a second design tomorrow, maybe something with the state flag.

Are those buildings in the lower left corner?

Would it be possible to incorporate some iconic Minnesota Buildings?

I thought about that one, and some others (catherdral, IDS, etc.) but I think 1st National and Foshay fit the lines already there pretty close.
And Landmark would look like a generic disney castle in a line drawing.

If we wanted to go a little more Arfcom appropriate, we could do the Hamm's and Schmidt breweries
