I may be looking to liquidate my ex-GF's range gun and was just wondering what the going rate 'round these parts is for a LNIB G23 (with extras and spare mags) with about 100 rounds 165gr. WWB down the pipe.  If I sold it, would it help the sale to include a rather large ammo stash to go along with it?  Or should I sell the gun and ammo separate?

I've checked all the usual online sources and a few local dealers for trade in values and the numbers are all over the board.

What says the local collective?

(ETA:  This is NOT an ad!!!  Only a question to help calculate a asking price IF I do decide to sell it.  If the sale happens, I will post it in the EE.  So PLEASE...  No emails or IM's...)

$450 plus or minus fifty bucks.  I would sell the ammo separate if you are looking to get the most $.  I would think package deals should save the buyer money.  Some people want a gun.  Others just want a Sh!t load of ammo.

Book value on a common gun is well a fantasy.  With new generation frames and RTF options out there your gun is probably worth more for you to sell on your own to max the return to you. No dealer is going to give you more then about 75/80 percent of wholesale on a basic run of the mill gun, ie yours. No matter the round count, it is in fact used.  Like driving a car off the lot......

So if a gun wholesales for 450 then you would be looking at </=350 or so, then that depends on what they already have in their inventory.....  if they have a lot well so goes your price down and down.

If you consign it some place they would want their cut, and of course you would be needing to price it so that is competitive.

I second the idea of selling the ammo seperate.

Most of the time accessories mean little to a dealer, but more to an individual.

i would think if you put it on one of the gun pages it would go for $450.00 no problem...........
