[ARCHIVED THREAD] - The Snow Storm (Page 1 of 2)

Not sure how much we will get in any in the metro area. I guess if the storm lifts farther to the north, We might get rain and sleet...
I keep hearing that 16-20" is gonna be the norm. 
Who wants to join me in a 4x4 trek around town?

barbwire to keep illegal immigrants out, the snow will keep the kegs cold, and we can reinforce it by spraying water over it to make ice ( bullet proof ) we'll get on the news for sure. yes, we are fo'ing. lets Fo' this ! |

 I'm in the RED... i gotz mooore snowz then yoz!!!  Its been a good many years sense I have had a GOOD storm. Last two that came through here I missed by about 2 weeks. got to enjoy Iraq instead of the snow. I'm going to pic up some extra gas when I get off of shift this AM, and some booze from my watering whole and I will be golded.

Just looked out my front door, looks like we got around 6-8" in the Howard Lake area...then again with the wind, kind of hard to tell as it tends to shift...
In an hour or two when I'm sufficently coherent I'll blow out the drive, that'll give me a way better idea of how much we got. |

About 9" here in Minneapolis, I snow blowed it into the alley for the city to plow, then I realized It was like 4 feet deep out back of my house clogging the whole alley... Whoops, the idiot neighbor three houses down in a Honda with super small tires , revved it up and gunned it for the pile. STUCK bad. I pushed him and he went back pretty easy. Then he gunned it and tried it again. Stuck really bad. I closed my sliding gate with 7 foot privacy fence and left him. All his Mexican buds are still out there trying to get him out. i got a front row seat... oh well, off to go work on Hot Rods in the garage!! I'm ready for the Kegger stat!! |

I measure 10" in the front yard to include the snow we already had. If we're gonna get another 10" here in Princeton before tomorrow, it better get busy.
You guys have a good Christmas. 
ETA..Hell with a kegger, after early xmas gift exchanges, I've got a half dozen bottles of whiskey to share....
