I copied from the archive below so you guys could see the original post.

I got a message the other day that the rifle was recovered, with an individual in custody after he apparently used it to commit a couple burglaries elsewhere in the state (strange, it was always a well behaved rifle when I owned it...I guess it was hiding its evil side from me).  They haven't determined yet if he could have been my burglar or if he acquired it.  No word yet on the glock, or if/when I will be able to get the rifle back after they are done prosecuting the shitbag.

Stolen guns - St. Cloud

Well, it happened. I hate saying this word, but I guess I got complacent. I went to my garage this morning to find that it had been broken into. Of everything in there, the thief/thieves took only two guns, my Glock 21 which was in the console of my truck (one of the few times I have ever left my carry piece in the truck)

The other was a tricked out 22. Carbon fiber barrel, RB precision conversion housing and ACE Socom stock, with a cheap red dot on it. They left behind a couple very nice deer rifles...I guess bolt actions aren't cool anymore.

I don't normally have guns in the garage, they're usually in the safe in the house. I just hadn't gotten around to cleaning these yet from this last weekend practice. I guess locked doors don't mean anything anymore.

Couldn't really read the police officers optimism or pesimism about catching the perp, although he was quite happy I had the SN's and more documentation on them than most gun shops would have. I'm most upset that some lowlife has 2 of my guns. I could care less about the value - stuff is replaceable - just sickened by the lowlifes out there, and the stress it has my wife under.

getting them back would be nice, reading about them getting beat down during the arrest might make me feel a little better....

That's good news.  Hopefully you can get it back in a timely manner and hopefully the Glock shows up too.

well, its a result. would be nice if theyd be able to convict that guy of your burglary also.

im guess he'll just play the "i bought it from some dude named ray-ray"

and get a slap on the wrist.

Glad to hear it was recovered.

I'd expect it to be returned after the trial.
