Where oh where did you find such a treasure?  Believe it or not, old squads have a following and can fetch good ching.  A big-block Ford is good stuff.  I wish I could find a pre-70 428 Custom, post-70 429 Custom or a 69 440 Dodge Polara.

For a good read with lots o' purty pitchers, check out "The Encyclopedia of American Police Cars" by Edwin Sanow published by MBI.   I believe if you go to Barnes and Noble they'll order it for you although I'm not sure if it's in print any longer.  Published in 1999.  No finer toilet reading material has been produced.

ETA: If you go to motorbooks.com and search under his name, he's got a book out now on proper restoration of old police vehicles.

Best wishes with the restoration and please share some pics when you can,
Scott

I've got a 69 Charger R/T SE 440, 4spd that's in primer waiting on paint. Chances are it won't get painted until after I get my house sold though. Hopefully we'll get listed soon for attempt #2.

Oh well, at least I've got the car. After all the DoH hype the prices went to the point that I would never have been able to afford it.

Dodge should just make a retro newer version like Ford did with the Mustang so clowns like me who want a DoH clone can do it without wrecking the originals for purists like you.

We'll be needing pics from you also good sir,
Scott
