I have a Ruger mini 30 that is near mint and have four high cap mags(2 10 rnd and 2 30 rnd). My question is should I keep it as an extra gun or trade it in on something different. I have only shot 30 rounds through it and it's accuracy was good. No troubles so far. I just found it again in the back of the safe and I don't shoot it anymore so what do you think I should do???--------134thSIGNAL

IMHO, I think you should likely KEEP it.  7.62x39 ammo is INFINITELY cheaper than 5.56mm right now!  That alone should be enough incentive for me to keep the gun!

Sounds like a good truck gun

I had a Mini-30, it was a great compact carbine. Mine shot very well, close to 1 MOA with Silver Bear ammo. Only reason I sold it was to fund the purchase of a Beretta A391 Xtrema that a buddy of mine sold me for a song, Gander gave me $10 less for it than I paid them for it 3 years and 1k rounds ago!. I didn't find myself shooting it that much either, it used to be my go-to gun before my AR's, and it was my deer rifle prior to my .270. If money is not an issue and you don't "need" another project, I'd hold on to it.

Damn, I had two magazines for one of these (one factory) a while ago that I couldn't even give away at a gunshow.  I wound up trading them to a vendor for a 1911 magazine.

If you are interested, I have one 10 round magazine for a Mini30. Not a factory magazine, but always functioned great with my old Mini30.
