Hey Guys:

I am up here in the Twin Cities and want to know if there are any decent surplus stores in the area.

I really only know about 2 of them.

There USED to be a decent one in downtown Minneapolis, but the previous owner died, and his surviving family screwed it up and changed the store (almost NO USGI surplus stuff, just garbage & hand-me-down clothing)...

There really AREN'T any "GREAT" Army/Navy surplus stores in the twin cities as far as I know, but...

Now there's...

GI JOE Surplus Army/Navy
7180 42nd Ave N
New Hope, Minnesota 55427
(763) 533-9851

This is the only 'classical' Surplus type store I know that's still around.  It's a small shop, but they have pretty decent selection of USGI and surplus military stuff.  The PRICES can be tough to swallow depending upon what you're looking to buy, but sometimes you can find a decent deal in there.  Their service is okay at best, but don't expect someone to really be 'nice' though, but oh well.  As with most surplus stores in MN this one doesn't sell guns either.

Harris Warehouse Canvas Cmpng
501 30th Ave Se
Minneapolis, MN 55414
(612) 331-1321

This place is kind of 'hidden' and 'out of the way' yet in kind of the middle of the city.  Not many people know of it.  I haven't been inside here in YEARS (probably 5-6 years), but when I last did go there they had a few good deals.  I remember I found some old beat-to-hell Adventureline 30rd Mags for $20 each there during the AWB!    Who knows what they've got in stock now (I'm not sure if it still has mostly surplus stuff, or camping stuff or what)???  As with most surplus stores in MN this one doesn't sell guns either.

Hope this helps, but I'd suggest checking out The GI Joes before the Harris one.  Either one might disappoint you though.
