| So I was talking to a friend the other day and we got into a debate. I told him that you do not need to be a police officer to shop there, I told him you did not need to. So has this changed or what? I swore you didn't need to. Let me know. |

Streichers will allow the public to purchase things there. Some things are restricted like body armor, certain weapons, etc, as this is usually dictated by their contracts with the suppliers and manufacturers that they do business with. I refer lots of non-Law Enforcement business there for things like holsters, concealment clothing, etc. CY6 Greg Sullivan "Sully" SLR15 Rifles TheDefensiveEdge.com |
Sully, you recommend body armor for your vehicle class. If non-leo cannot purchase at Streichers, where might one get body armor? |

Body armor can be obtained a number of places. Try some of the other police uniform suppliers around the metro. Several of our alumni have obtained stuff from Ebay, and other sources like pawn shops and military surplus stores. If we know what people are looking for, occasionally we come across slightly used stuff and can point people in the right direction.
