Hello all Minnesota ARFcom members!

As some of you know, I've been having some pretty tough car troubles, and have been saving up for a sizable down payment on a new car (Finally Settled on a Toyota Carolla LE), because my Oldsmobile is certainly ***NOT*** going to last much longer as the transmission is steadily dying (it rarely ever goes into reverse anymore, and sometimes doesn't go into drive).

Also, it's building season right now so I've been putting in an insane amount of work lately as well!  Saturday the 15th was my friend's wedding, and the following sunday I was back in at work.  I worked every day since the 16th, and haven't had much time off.  (Out surveying on last Saturday, drafting & fixing computers on sunday morning, luckily I managed to sneak up to Bills North sunday afternoon for a little last-minute blasting with my brother; GOD I NEEDED THAT! Then I had to work from my home PC afterwards)  Up until yesterday I hadn't had much time to login to ARFcom to check up on you guys, but I occasionally was lurking to see that you were all behaving and playing nice.

I'm having a brief repose in between major projects and hope to use this time to finish up my 'resource/information' page compilation at the top of the screen, bump up my post-per-day count, and see to a few things that I said I would do, but never got around to finishing.

I'd like to apologize for not updating a couple things and somewhat neglecting YOUR BOARD.  Let's be honest here, it's everyone's board, it's up to all of us to make it a valuable resource and a fun place to discuss issues, and it's up to each of us to be kind, curteous, and behave online here.  It's just my job to update a couple resources from time to time and to you once in a while if you get out of hand and remind everyone to behave.

While lurking the past few days I noticed that no kicks to the ding-ding were needed!  You all seemed to have governed yourselves quite well, and that's a sign of the great character, kind personalities, and cumulative maturity level of you fellow Minnesota Members.  For your contributions to this board I would like to thank each and every one of you.

I'm going to try harder to finish up a couple updates here, stop by and drop off a couple things at a couple members' houses (things I said I'd deliver, but hadn't had much time; That, and I don't exactly trust my car much to get me anywhere, let alone get me back home again!).

Please accept this as my apology for my absence and I'll try to improve things around here a bit more as well.

Thanks for enduring my presence as moderator for so long!    So many of you have done so much to enrich the lives of other members as well as this website through your kindness, generosity, and your great character.  I've met so many great people on this board (as I'm sure we all have), and I'm proud to call you all friends.  Since the website blossomed from the 'old green board' into what it is today with the quality members we have here...  I truly hope that this board will continue to evolve into an even greater local community of FRIENDS.

Once again, I'm sorry about the absence, and I'll hopefully get everything cleaned up around here soon.  Thanks for all the years of great contributions that you've all made (in posts, shooting, in friendships, and in life) to this website and its many members!

Mat, don't be upset because I said Washington HTF is better than our HTF.

They DO have hot coffee Baristas there...AND they post pics!

No apologies necessary.  Sounds like you are finding out what life is like for most people when they are not in school anymore.  I think most people here can attest to that.

M,
Remember that you work so you can live, and it not supposed to be living to work!

Yes, and hopefully, part of his 401k plan isn't his own cemetary plot!
