I still have a postban rifle that needs a proper front sight base and the barrel threaded. You guys know about any good AR friendly/knowlegeable smiths that could do the work?

Yeah, but don't think your getting out of there in any hurry.   My last transfer took 2 hours and 2 pots of coffee.

I got some good education from Randy, detailed tutorial on dangerous game hunting one time! A whole tutorial on Lauer Duracoat application.  But, he has replace a S&W front sight right in front of me!  It is fun, but I am not old enough to drink coffee
