I have a Kimber Desert Warrior, I will most likely be carrying that in the winter (if I can find a good holster for it)  And a S&W 357 hammerless in the summer when I have less clothes to cover up with.  If someone can reccomend a good place to get a holster for a railed 1911 I would go get one.  I know Oak Grove doesnt have one because I checked when I got my AR there.

KY Imports (not that KY) has it, check the ammo section in the main AR forum.  Cost me about 20 cents a round shipped in 2 days.

Thanks for the link.  I have a concern with the plastic holsters though, arent they hard on the Kim Pro finish that Kimber uses?  I dont mind wear and tear but it seems this would strip it bare pretty quick.  Thoughts?

I'll let you know how it grips the gun when I get mine.  Should be here on Saturday.

Ok, got home after the gun show and found my holster here.  Its a very nice kydex holster with a spring loaded adjustable tension.  The only thing is I'm using it on a polymer pistol that obviosly has no type of finish so I cant really tell where it would be affecting any type of finish.  From what I can see though is this holster fits over the pistol very well, and very snug.  I can't say though how it will fit a 1911.  I could maybe see it causing some finish wear though.  It may be best to contact the company and ask them about your concern with finish wear.  I emailed them a question and they got back to me pretty quick.  Or just keep looking for a softer holster that will fit.  It seems a lot of companies are now making them to fit railed guns as well as guns that have certain lights attatched.
