Just checking on interest. Some of our Staff are wanting to know if there is enough interest in doing a couple of types of courses. These would be taught by some of our finest Staff who come from backgrounds with U.S. Army Special Forces, and U.S.M.C. Force Recon. First would be a Wilderness Survival Course. This would entail a couple of days at our Northern Minnesota Facility, lots of Woods, Swamp, and Lake. Attendees would be taught the necessary skills of how to live in the wilderness with only the clothes on their back, and a good field knife. Skills taught would be shelter making, fire making, obtaining food (both furry and plant life), etc. This would probably be one of the most econimical courses that one would attend as all you would need is a good field knife. This course would be done first in the Summer or Fall months, but a future course would be considered for Winter. I personally would be game for the Winter course!!! There is also some discussion of doing a Ranger Field Craft type course in case anyone might be interested. Or a possible E&E type course. Let us know your thoughts!!! This is still in the possible works, especially of there is enough interest. We are considering Fall, but would depend on interest. We would probably do this near Bemidji, as we have a perfect location. Too far to order pizza or walk to town. But we also have about 400acres of rolling land, surrounded by 1000's acres of forest, some hard woods with fields and swamp, its own lake with lots of fish, and lots of other critters around (deer, coyotes, foxes, bears, wolves, beavers, ducks, geese, grouse, etc, and I have seen moose tracks), plus being northern Minnesota you will have plenty of bugs.
