Now on what grounds would they pursue a lawsuit? I though we passed right this time, no loopholes.

Those f'ing church groups piss me off they caused the first one to be overturned.
I am catholic, but the church can kiss my ass.I am not giving any money to them, bastards.
You can see I am upset.

The church group that was involved in the original suit has promised that they will sue again.  They don't like the fact that you can have a gun in your car in the parking lot.  I think they will be able to find a sympathetic judge that will take the case.  IMO we will be trying to pass this bill again next year.  I would have liked to see an amendment to take care of this but it was not possible this year.  I talked to Joe Olson about it this morning and he assured me that they would not be able to throw the whole bill out with a lawsuit.  I sure hope he is right and I am wrong.  He helped write the original legislation so he should know what he is talking about.  I'm just cynical because I have seen the dirty tricks these bastards have pulled in the past.

Sorry for the rant, for know we should be celebrating.  WE HAVE A CARRY BILL AGAIN! Even with the crap they added to it this year it is still one of the best in the country.   Hope to see some of you guys Friday night at Majestic Oaks.

Yeh, your right at least we have a carry bill again.

Let me get this staight they are worried we have a gun in the car in the parking lot? They should not worry about me, it will be on my person not im my car when and if I attend.

Many people use that car safe to protect their firearm, you think the church would be happy then.
I think having it on your person would be the safer thing to do, some idiot steals your weaon then what?

They are trying to find anything they can to get the bill thrown out.  They don't think people should be able to carry guns.  This is just the angle they will use.  Some churches in town post security guards so I am confused about it too.  I think they believe like Arnie Carlson that carrying guns is just not "Minnesota nice".  The problem is that there is no Minnesota nice any more.  Hundreds of gang members have come in from Chicago etc. and Minnesota is a dangerous place now.  Talk to any cop.  Even the small towns have serious gang problems here now.
