Hey all, it has been quite some time since we have had an AR15.com shoot. There are a bunch of members that have been checking in and it would be great to get some people out for a day at the range. Anybody have any suggestions? I was thinking Del-Tone for the range, Princeton being my second choice. Paulie has always treated myself and my son very well. As far as a day, it depends on when DE classes are happening. Lets get things rolling |

Shoot? Shoot?! Everyone knows that my guns NEVER leave the safe! I'm afraid of outside. I can do CQB with my ninja black keyboard. (I don't care if death451 calls it "shoot at me black") Oh yeah... and I always pay full retail for my ammo +tip. That said... HOT! I'm in. |
GUESS WHAT!?!?! ![]() I probably can't make it! (There's something new!) ![]() The "Check Engine" light went on this morning, and my car just got me stuck on I-94 on the way to work today after my classes! The engine sputtered, and died on the freeway! I managed to get it started again, and took it to a shop, but on the way it almost died on me again. I happened to have about $180 left of my paycheck from last friday (after paying my part of the rent) to pay the next electric & phone bills, but wouldn't you know it that $$ jumped out of my pocket, and into my car... I tell ya! Driving a car that gets 12 MPG HIGHWAY (as low as 8 to 9 in CITY) gets a little expensive. I think when I graduate from college I'm going to take out a loan & buy a little Toyota Echo or something! With the ever-increasing fuel prices (almost like a crisis) I'm going to have to get a more fuel-efficient and reliable car to get me from A to B. Either way, I'm pretty much out of ammo (except 1/2 box of Federal HST for carry, ~45rds of test handloads for .45 ACP, some .22 LR for plinking, and some multi-purpose bird shot for the 12 Ga) at the moment. Low on ammo, and broke means no shooting until finances stabilize further, and my car regains my trust in reliability. |
You are just trouble |

sounds like fun. I wanna get out and do some more shooting. when the range is selected, can someone post what ammo is acceptable for that range so i come with the right stuff. I have heard that some ranges wont allow you to shoot fmj. this saturday is a no go for me, my moms 50th birthday (big party) |
Dang dude, lift your foot off of the gas pedal! My old '75 Charger with a 400 4bbl that I drove while in college got better gas mileage than that! |

The only downside to Del-Tone is the strict no rapid fire policy. It is in place for good reason however as they get constant pressure to close down. Even with that restriction, it is the best range I have found for my son to shoot at. The range is owned and run by DPMS and are very friendly to we Black rifle folks. Plus if you are shooting handguns the steel gallery is a blast. www.del-tone-luth.com/ As for a more rapid fire shoot, the Princeton range would work better. They do have rapid fire restrictions on Sundays but Saturdays brings the machinegunners out. |
Damn right I want to shoot that thing!
I was considering Princeton for just that reason, but Mini-Quin wants to plink in the steel gallery with his Buckmark. |
