I know that street sweepers for shotguns fall under Destructive Devices, but I was curious what else would fall under this, or what else in on the DD list? thanks CINcerly, Nick |

A destructive device is pretty much self explanitory: Flame throwers are not illegal in this state, as they are used for clearing brush by farmers and the DNR. Its what you throw that makes the BATFE go up in arms. Harmful/banned chemicals will get you a trip to clubfed. Mixing stryofoam and gas and putting it in a bottle with a rag hanging out is illegal. but, purchasing an M2-2 as a relic-currio is not. Building one is. If you really want one, go googling or talk to the DNR. (the BATFE will just take your name and put out a hit on your later) As far as the M203, yes, it is a registered destructive device, but, the 37mm flare launcher is not. You may fire bird busters, flares, smoke signals, and other non-firearm related munitions from them. Buying a reducer and putting in it a 12g shotgun shell makes it either an SBR or a DD. (can't remember which) http://www.37mm.com/ for more info. FAC sells 37mm attachements (cobray/etcetera) for various rifles. (they even have one for the M-11!!!) You are giving REALLY bad advise... Building a flame thrower, as such, would consititute building a desctrive device since it has a constant rate of fire. Its one thing to launch a tennis ball soaked in gas out of a spud-gun (pvc tube) in your backyard. Spewing liquid hell from the end of a hose with the sole purpose of burning things is another. Oh hell...go ahead and do it and see if a liberal judge give a shit about throwing your ass in jail. Here is how I think you should build it. Take a Super Soaker Tripple Aggresor and fill it full of Exxon's best and lite it off. Practice on your sister and brother before pointing it at someone else. That is really what you want to do...just do it!!! See what happens and report back. -Warlock

You're way wrong, and I don't know where you're getting your crap information from...but stop spewing it. Edit: Oh, you're from Minnesota. Please disregard. They probably are illegal there unless you're a welfare recipient. Then you should be able to get a grant for fuel, as long as you're just burning up white people. |

REally, well, just bring one out in the public and light it off. Just ask one BATFE agent what they consider the difference between a molotov cocktail and a flamethrower. Since you know so much, go ahead and build one, use it in public (cause I doubt many gun ranges are gonna let you burn them down) and report back here what the fuzz had to say about your craftsmanship. And yes, Minnesota has plenty of welfare recipients who can afford stolen handguns, flamethrowers, and giving money to KKKerry, but, can't afford "Hooked on Phonics". Land of 10,000 taxes. -Warlock |
