What would be the best weapon I could get to keep my home safe, keeping in mind I am not of legal age to purchase handguns, I can however legaly purchase and own shotguns and rifles. I have been considering getting a Mossberg 500 series. I found a Mossberg 500 for $219 would that be a good one to go for? If possible email your responces to me at [email protected] thanks CINcerly, Nick |

And then a shotgun class at D.E. Personally I would go with the 590 millitary comes with 9 round cap and gost ring sights on some models. Also a bayonet lug kind of a bonus. Order one up at Stubby gear will try and get you a good price. Also there is a rem 870 up at the store that will be for sale soon it has wilson combat gost ring sights and 8 shot mag and a speed feed stock and CQB sling for around $500 is what the guy wants for it. |
Someone once mentioned having pictures of large fat women laying around naked would scare off most would-be-criminals. Alont with that, have out in plain sight lots of gay magazines and porn. Burglars love that stuff when they walk into a place. ![]() As a touch of class, see if you can find an autographed photo of Rosie O'Donnel and other fat ugly bull dikes. Put them on the walls facing every entryway. If nothing else, these artifacts will lead you commit suicide after a while. In which case, getting robbed my not be all that unpleasant. Shit, you'll be praying that someone comes in and steals all of your stuff. Hope this helps. -Warlock |

I went the route of getting the Mossberg 500 for the same price as well. It was a great bargain. I got mine with a 20" barrel, heat shield, and pistol grip. All of it had a parkerized finish. However, you cannot shoot well without a stock so I bought a butler creek folding stock, a side-saddle shell holder, and a rail mount to attach a red-dot sight. This combination seemed to work great. All for about $350 total. If I could do it over again, and if I could afford it, I'd get a Mossberg 590 in stainless steel (if available) with bayonet lug (for shitz & giggles), and as large of a capacity as possible. I went with the mossberg because of its reliability and recommendation from the most experienced shotgunner I've ever met. If you do get the mossberg, you'll likely not regret it. It's great bang for the buck. Get something else if you want ghost-ring sights & other "Cool" things installed factory. |

Shotgun and most important training. I use a mossberg and it is the best for the money in my opinion. Ghost sights are good but usually on higher costing models if price is a issue. I have a glow in the dark front bead for if its needed in the dark. And if you go to a 20" barrel You can also get a 9 shot tube for about 20.00 more. |

Where did you get your mosberg 500? I saw your pics online from a while ago and thought that would be a nice addition. I have a Winchester model 12 takedown that I am in the process of turning into a "trench gun" with just a few extra parts. (the heat shield was the hardest part to fine...$99 at e-gunparts.com, as it has the evil bayonet lug) -Warlock |
