I read this in usacarry.com, the problem is they are a bit slow on updating new laws/info so I want to know if this is still in effect to get a ccdw license?

Requirements:
1. Be a resident of Kentucky for at least six months prior to filing the application or a member of the Armed Forces of the United States who is on active duty, who is at the time of application assigned to a military posting in Kentucky, and who has been assigned to a posting in Kentucky for six months or longer immediately preceding the filing of the application

Awesome what are the wait times like for getting it back? I am moving to Louisville in 3 weeks and was going to be pissed if I had to wait 6 months to be able to carry.

I don't think the wait time is too long. But I am basing that on my recent renewal. I think it was back in a few weeks at most. They are very nice at Jefferson County and easy to deal with. Last time I was there I went from parking the car to back pulling away with new card is 18 minutes or less, and I had to park a block away and do the walk.

Also as a Kentucky resident you can just throw a pistol in the glove box. Hell, I'm surprised they don't give you one at the border. I like Ky gun laws.

It took me around 2 months to get mine. I took the class 3/3/12. Got my certificate of training on 3/20/12. Filled out the application the same day and sent it off. Got my flashpack and picked up my permit sometime in the middle of may. The issue date on it is 5/9/12.
