Will I be able to get general admission tickets in the infield if I show up the morning of the race?  Will I be surrounded by a bunch of drunk liberal college punks in the infield?  I have distant relatives in Louisville that I don't really care to stay with..what are the chances of getting a hotel room the weekend of the Derby?  Any suggestions or lessons learned from past experiences would be helpful.

Infield admission = no problem

Infield = you will be surrounded by lots of drunk people of all ages

Hotel room on Derby weekend = chance if you start trying NOW

+1, best bet is get box seats from people you know. Thats what I did. The infield is a complete cluster-fuck, bunch of drunk liberal AND conservative college students, and worst yet, you don't get to see the races. The track is blocked from view from the infield. So unless you're just there to drink and mack on girls, stay in the infield. If you are there to see the horses like me, get box seats AHEAD of time.

There are more conservative drunk college kids on the infield, but can be almost just as annoying. The boobage is nice no matter if they are libtard or not!

You will quickly learn that there are many more horses asses than there are horses in Kentucky on Derby day.
