How many of you guys have NV? Was thinking about a budget for the time being. I was wanting to know what brand and unit make you are using. Gen 1.

Dont really know too much about NV but Ive heard if you have a budget dont bother getting one cause the cheap ones arent worth it. Take that with a grain of salt.

i have the bushnell tactical hands free monocular
its a nice little scope
night vision is cool but you dont really use it as much as you think you would
when its warm out and your in the woods your worried about snakes
and it gets super cold at night

but non the less its cool :)

I have a russian made monocular NV device.
Pretty cool. Paid like 100 bucks for it about 12 years ago.

GEN III, PVS-14. Not cheap but worth it. Victor at TACTICAL NIGHT VISION is very good to deal with. My .02 cents

I wouldnt touch any thing Gen I. IF its all you can afford and just looking to play around then i guess, but just dont expect alot of clarity

every oncet and a while ill google around looking at prices.. the good stuff starts north of 10k, the really cool stuff with IR capability approaches 20,000.00

thats big boys toys...

dont bother with gen 1, squirrel the cash away and get a ITT PVS-14 3rd gen
