I have bought a lower, upper, EOtech, slings, parts kit, and other stuff from them.  I had some AK receivers transfered using them.  They are great guys to deal with in my opinion.

I personally think that Classic Arms & Archery on Southland Drive is a much better shop.  YMMV

There are several good shops in Lexington that would be worth a trip.  Slingpoint, Classic and Antique and Modern are all excellent shops, each with their different specialties.  Come on down and spend the day in Lexington and you could also head over to Buds in Paris.

I haven't bought anything from them, but I have been to thier store a couple of times.  Nice guys.  I wasn't looking for any AR stuff at the time so I can't comment on prices there, but I did compare prices on some handguns.  They are about on par with everyone else on new merchandise.  Not significantly higher and also not significantly lower.  The only complaint is they have late hours.  I have talked to them and unless something has changed recently, both are active military recruiters so they run the shop at night and weekends.  Weekend hours are OK, but weekday hours are different than everyone else.  If you drive over, plan accordingly.  I would go to other shops first and then drive over to Slingpoint after the other shops close.  The only negative to this strategy, is if you find something at a better price at another shop, you are screwed since they will most likely be closed.  That could be your negotiation strategy, but like I said, you must plan accordingly.

Good luck.

I found Classic to be way overpriced compared to several other stores in lexington.

Since I found Slingpoint they are the only shop I'll deal with from here on out for transfers and such.

I have only been there once and it was last year. My only comment would be that they didn't have much inventory when I was there.

Probably like most people said, if you are looking to do transfers, they may be the place to go or with late hours if you can't make the others, they would be an option.  If you are looking for any type of selection, you better go elsewhere cause they don't have it.  I thought the Bushmaster guy a couple posts up was associated with slingpoint??? I was by there not too long ago. I thought their inventory was laughable at best but I waited til I left to do so.

Classic Arms is probably the best in town in my opinion. Their prices are not too outta line and they will deal with you some.  Antique and Modern has a good supply and so does Evans Archery but not much on friendliness in my opinion. Best thing is that all these three are all within probably a mile or two of each other (imagine that).

If you want to be jerked around, ignored, and maybe show up when they have decided to be closed for whatever reason..then head up to Buds in Paris. Not someone I would deal with again soon but be sure and call before you go.

Of course, Your mileage May vary

Antiques and Modern is my go-to store, followed by Evans (even though you have to BEG to get service).  If A&M doesn't have it, they can get it.  I deal with Steve F.

The guy at SlingPoint is super eager to help out with anything you need.  They have day jobs so it's open late.  I kind of like it.  Most of us have day jobs too so you can hit SP on the way home.

I come in from Knoxville every few months and I stumbled upon Slingpiont, Great shop, but I will say that A&M firarms IMO is the best one outhere. Yes you do have to beg to get some1 to help at Evans, and I really dont like driving to Buds...I think that they would drown in heavy rain beacause there noses are so stuck up in the air.

Yeah, I guess you could say I (and unfortunately I'm not alone) have had some real issues with A&M in the past.  I wouldn't recommend their headaches on anyone.

I haven't been in A&M in over 2 years.

I don't even recognize their existence.
