If you had a preban lower and knew you could replace it in 10 minutes because it didn't matter in your state, you'd ask for the moon too. I gave up thinking there are people sympathetic to our fate. Most just make fun of us because they think everyone just folded and registered their stuff. That picture of people lined up at CSP HQ was up forever. Even though there is up to 85% non-compliance, the mouth breathers still think CT gun owners are pussies. Who cares what they think. Fuck them. But in the meantime, they're going to try and make money off of you. Capitalism and all that shit. |

I watched 2 colt lowers(just receivers) get bid to over 1 k each.......and they were pretty well beat up. This was last night. It seems pre ban lowers will sell for about $850 pretty quick. Under this price they go almost instantly. Over $1000 they are for sale for weeks.
Shops can get over these prices and do regularly but the stuff sits. People do pay it. I was at my club a few weeks ago shooting. A guy and his son were having some issues with their AR and I was helping them get it squared away. They had a Colt lower. The father said to me "We just bought the lower at xxxxxxxx for $1500. We went with Colt because it is better than other pre bans".
I did not have the heart to tell them they overpaid and had an oddball lower. |

I like when people ask what pre ban to buy like they're buying a pre ban because it's nicer than new shit, no, buy the cheapest one you can find because all you need is the SN, that's it. all pre bans suck unless its an MG. even then it still probably sucks and again you're only paying for the SN. it's all a scam and people just need to realize that. |

Go in the retro forums, guys in other states love the large pin SP1 colts. That's why they are more expensive than the rest of the Prebans.
Guys in any state will pay a premium for those, which is why I've always said that the sp1's are the smartest choice for buying Prebans(well since 2013 when we could actually buy a colt). They have value elsewhere, where a sgw or ea doesn't. |
