Hey gang. I have been on the search for a level 2 kydex holster but have not had any luck for my specific requirements I need it to be for a glock 19 with x300u and rmr. Needs to be thumb break as I am not interested in any spring loaded hoods. This will go on the training belt rig. My google-fu is admittedly weak and I know we have some grand masters here. So two questions for you all.
Does anyone know a good custom shop that can make this? I have seen a few that were close but not quite what I want.
I have been using an open top holster for past classes and I have yet to have my pistol fall out but I think about it frequently. Do I just need to chill out or do you think this is a valid concern? I am a very risk adverse person and plan for the worst all the time and sometimes like now it's a pain in the a$$.

That's a tall order. My only idea would be to check the guy out on etsy. He will make any configuration of kydex. He may be able to make what your looking for

Someone hooked me up with a link to the super secret custom line section of RCS. I couldn't find it on my own from their main page. I suck at the interwebs. Keep throwing out input though. All is welcomed.

I think I can help. But please clarify when you say level 2 you are talking about a holster with one single mechanical retention device? As in 1 thumb strap, or one hood or one thumb drive retention lock.

Or are you talking about a holster with 2 independent mechanical retention devices? As in a thumb strap and a safariland style rock n lock?

1 or 2 devices?

I am talking 1 additional item from the normal friction retention you get from the holster itself. In my case it would be the addition of a thumb break strap only.

Ok. Concealment Solutions has probably the best selection of light and weapon combos. He is also very open to custom work. I sent an email to the owner asking if he can do your requested combination. I'll let you know what I hear. Single man shop, so I would expect to hear back Monday afternoon. His lead times are almost always under a week.

I have several Concealment Solutions holsters. All are top notch quality. Turn around time is fast - about one week.

Shoot an IM to conndcj, I recall him posting pics of some custom made stuff from a local source. He may have a line on a guy who can help.

My memory might be off, but I think he was the one who posted the pictures.

Cool stuff mike, thanks. I am also looking into a place called statureman. I have been referred to the safariland als from another forum but I can't seem to find a model compatable with the rmr and suppressor sights.

Good thought she, that guy always seems to have something unique.

Here is the response I got from the owner of Concealment Solutions I would email him for price if you don't mind sending the light. I can vouch for his custom work. My photo review of his gear.

I may need the light but shouldn't be a problem.

Subject: Holster request

I have a friend looking for a custom holster and I think your the man for the job. Would you be able to make a sidewinder pro with a thumb break for a Glock 19 with x300u and RMR?
Thanks for your time,
Mike

Why not use the safariland acs?

Part number 6354do-832-701-ms19

I have one it works for 17 and 19. Pull the bottom plug for the x300u and has rmr cut and thumb release. I run one on a battle belt with the slight drop leg. Its perfect.

I had seen these on the safariland website but they were way pricey. I also read issues with rmr fitment so I figured I would go custom. I did however just find one for way cheaper than safariland. What optic do you run on the 17/19 and how is the fitment on current production?

I run a rmr on my 19 and my 17. My 17 is an atom slide though so with the reat sight in front of the optic i have to dremel the retention mechanism to work. Fits tight and works for me. I also have another with just the rmr cut no light. Both are gtg.
