Anyone gonna make the trip out?

Nope

Historically, even when this was a good show (which it isn't anymore) the June show was always the worst one of the year to go to. Wait till the end of the year. They usually do one or two sometime between Oct and Dec

Back when I was a kid, gun shows were so much fun.  You could see all sorts of weird things there you never see anymore- WWII Japanese swords,  IBM M1 Carbines.  in the box Mac 10's, , and in one case, an actual Pedersen device for a Springfield.  I even picked up a 150 year old cartridge at a show for a Burnside Carbine just for shits and giggles.    It was like going to a museum with a gift shop that was out of this world.

Now, for every gun table, I'm seeing four or five tables selling novelty knives, Airsoft, and Beef Jerky.  Really, what is the point anymore?

Remember computer shows?  Do they even do them anymore?

I went to the last one, it was actually pretty good. I can't make this one but I'd go just to keep the spirit alive.

Carry low expectations and its pretty sweet when you find something.

typically they are hyped on the radio and in the papers.  I read two papers every day and listen to AM radio constantly.  Not one mention of the June show. I'd just ignore it.  gun shows are a pale imitation of what they used to be.

In Louisville, where they still have NGD (National Gun Day) there's a show that has.........get this.........3000+ tables.  Makes what we have here in New England look like amateur hour.

I went to the last one. Went trying to buy some ammo cans. No ammo can guy at that show. If you are looking to buy guns and ammo then don't bother. If you need parts, especially AR15 or milsurp stuff then it is not bad. Kind of like a swap meet.

Some people like the overpriced jerky table.

I got to meet edgephoto and the real mac90nchesse/typhoid at the last one. We ended up buying ammo cans online. But I got my stripper clips.  If it was in CT I would go!
