| Just wondering if its ok to EDC a waved folder in CT. Such as a spyderco endura wave or emerson wave. |

^^^ They must be contributing to wear but haven't noticed any meaningful damage yet. In EDC role I probably only wave out the knife once or twice a day on average. I find the wave feature really handy and second nature at this point.
Example of deployment using a knife with the same features. The loop actually makes this knife more concealable as you can put it entirely in your pocket, grab the loop, and wave it out.

Good point about not being used all the time. It does seem to be extremely fast and instinctive to open with minimal practice. I like it a lot! |

Good point about not being used all the time. It does seem to be extremely fast and instinctive to open with minimal practice. I like it a lot! Been using the wave since '06ish and there is no appreciable wear on pockets, even on rather light cotton dockers/dress-pants... With the Emersons it's easy to adjust the friction to allow either wave or a quick flick of the wrist to open the blade. |

That is the Spyderco FireByrd  It has been discontinued for some time now. I bought 10 of them back in the day for 110 shipped and gave them out as gifts to my friends and family members. Seen one go on Ebay the other day for 235  Still have 2 in the safe
