The thought of a Suppressed 8.2'' SBR 300 blackout is keeping me up at night all to often lately. I am told 199trust.com is reputable. Anyone have any experience with this? Seems very reasonably priced and was just wondering why that is? As always, thank you for any help!

U could trust the can but not the SBR unless it was in the trust prior to whatever date ....sbhaven or Matt or Andrapos or someone will have that info.

No info on the trust website but folks use quicken and do it themselves.

Or you could go to that guy in Seymour who a lot of folks here use.

You can't transfer an AR into a trust now. You can buy the can with a trust. Delta in Wallingford will give you a discount on a trust if you buy the can from them. Also if you buy the can from them Delta will let you use on their range while you wait for your stamp. Third is you are supporting one of the few shops transferring pre bans in the state.

I don't believe so. I know my form 1 application for SBR was disapproved even after providing proof it is preban and a letter from DESPP clarifying that prebans don't need to be registered and are transferable. Total horse shit.

Luckily DESPP will still approve an AW certificate for a preban. I went there in person and got my AW cert right then and there. Just today I mailed out the new application, including the AW cert of course. Hooray, I guess

If your trust includes a Schedula A, simply write it in on the Schedule A. If it doesn't include a Schedule A then there is probably a separate form your lawyer provided for you.

By the letter of the law this is a transfer, so you would think that you need to fill out a DPS-3 and get an authorization number from DESPP, but that isn't the case. DESPP will tell you that they can't process a transfer to a trust and to just write it into your trust. CT plays by their own rules regardless of what the law says about living trusts.

Basically they care about who has possession of the firearm, not who the owner is, when it comes to trusts at least. The state's disregard for the law was further enforced when I received a COP for my preban. I was told that even though it was in my trust it had to be registered to me, so they had me write my name in next to my trust name on the AW certificate application.
