After finally calling the DPS I found out that my Hi-cap mag form was never processed....but the woman I spoke with corrected that and it is now entered into "the system".
I just receive a letter stating "This letter is providing confirmation of receipt of your Declaration of Magazines DESPP-788-C form, to the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Special Licensing and Firearms Unit" Is this what others have received as far as Hi-Cap mags registration? Also...it does not specify how many you declared. |

Also...it does not specify how many you declared. This has been discussed repeatedly in numerous threads here in this CTHTF. You DO NOT get any other paperwork back on any magazines you declared other than a form letter saying they received your application to declared your magazines. This has been known for well over six months now. |

But if it made you feel better about yourself dressing me down for the stupid question...I am very happy for you. |

I still have not received mine. I only sent in two magazine declaration forms (no AW registration), just a couple days before the deadline. I still have the receipt from the post office, not that proves anything. I had two full sets of notarized forms done at my bank... One for me and one to send into the state. It's dated the same as the one I sent in.
It's gotta' be getting close, right? |

What happened with mine was that when I called....The woman spoke with at the DPS first check the computer system and there was only record of my rifle being registered. She then went to where they physically store the forms that were received and found my mag form stuck in with my rifle forms. I am very happy she took the trouble to take a look or I would be SOL. |

There is a thread every two to three weeks (like this recent one, and this one, and this one, and this one) since the first of the year from people either asking when the paperwork will be processed or that they've received their paperwork back. |

Did you pay your magazine tax?! Of course it was right there on the CT EZ1040 form, right next to the "use tax" section we're all supposed to be filling out. We were supposed to get back $55 for paying the magazine tax but Malloy decided to keep that money, that bastard.
