Riverview has some used 5.56 barrels that are threaded for $150 and they're match grade. They look relatively dirty but the rifling is still sharp. Is there anything specific to look for your when buying a used barrel? I figure it will be cheaper the having my current barrel threaded and it is a better quality than a stock s&w barrel. Forgive me for sounding like a newbie but I have never bought a used barrel and the only gun I bought used was an m9 which was my second gun and it turned out to be accurate as hell.
Edit: I know to look for rust pitting and a damaged crown, I'm not that derp derp. |

Only way to really inspect a used barrel is to thoroughly clean it, dry it, and inspect it with a strong light and preferably a borescope. Otherwise you're just buying promises and hope.. Even then there's a chance it'll be a stinker... |

When you have options like this why bother with questionable sources?
There are plenty of other options out there as well, that was just the first I found. |
