| I admit I waited to the last minute and my paperwork arrived in Middletown Dec 31st. I haven't recieved anything back yet and my stress level has been super high. Am I right to be worried about my collection? I haven't been to the range for fear someone will ask for my paperwork, worried I registered so much stuff I am going to have a knock at the door. Worried the collection I built over 30 years is going to be taken from me. Anyone else that hasn't heard anything? |
| I sent mine in mid-late december and have not recieved anything so don't worry yet. I just went to the range friday with my AR and noone asked any questions. Hold on to your collection and don't worry yet from what i hear they ar only in the 11,000 range out of 50,000. Maybe dig a decent size hole in the back yard and get some water proof bags that will fit you guns just in case haha. j/k |

I received a voicemail from CSP this morning to give them a call about my "assault weapon certificates".
Obviously my ass went into pucker-mode. Called up and was told there is some sort of clerical/stamping problem that might cause issues, but that I should likely expect it soon...whatever that means. (sent mid-December for reference). |

Worried the collection I built over 30 years is going to be taken from me. Anyone else that hasn't heard anything? I sent my magazine declaration and two AW forms in the same package the second week in November. I got the mag form confirmation back but only one AW certificate. The other I'm still waiting on. That's, what, four months? At this point the entire process is nothing but a complete joke so I really don't care anymore, 'cause if there's a screwup it'll be from a bureaocratic issue on their end, not a public safety issue on my end. If I ever get challenged and am asked if it's registered I will simply say "I sent in all my paperwork like I was asked to so you tell me". I put the SN of the two firearms on the certified letter I send with the paperwork so there's no way they can claim they didn't receive it. |

So you intentionally waited to the last minute to bog down the system and help flood them with paperwork and now you are concerned that it is taking a long time to processed? It sounds like the late filers are getting exactly what they asked for ![]() Right....you had 9 months or so and now you are worried? you have a collection of guns that you acquired over 30 yrs. and you wait until the last second?? Seriously?? Guess they cant be that important to you. |

I have copies of all my notarized documents, and the Post Office shows the packet was delivered, so I will just wait until the paperwork shows up! |

Many didn't make that decision yet to comply or not and were waiting for more details to make that choice. |

I haven't been to the range for fear someone will ask for my paperwork" because he was scared. If he is scared to go to the range because he is worried he may have a problem...than maybe he should of thought about that a lot earlier. If I had that much time and cash invested I wouldn't have waited until the 11th hour unless I never had any intention in the first place to register them. If that were the case we all here would be reading a different kind of thread. So sorry...no sympathy here. |

Plus the state couldn't make up their mind about the pre bans in mid december either But even with my meager collection, my forms were ready to go mid September but not sent until mid December |

My meager collection is of irreplaceable value to me now. If I only registered 1/3 of my AR's, that would give me exactly ONE AR for the rest of my life in Connecticut. (likely my whole life) But I understand what you are saying. I'm sure OP does too, so no need to prolong the issue. Most people procrastinate. |

I guess it's safe to say that scant few of the 100,000 or so gun owners that told the state to piss off are posting in this thread. Or are hanging out too much in the CT forum. If that's the case, maybe we should re-name this forum to something more appropriate. |

Quoted: Only if you admit to breaking the law. "I registered nothing" could mean you had nothing to register, like preban ass salt weapons.
