Hi everyone,
I joined the party right after the Newtown incident and painfully able to acquired (before the date) one functional AR15 (custom build) and couple lowers with the normal price. Anyways, first I want to say hello to the group. Second, I have a curiosity that I have seen breast cancer, suicide prevention, AIDS walk, etc ... you name it, but I found zero result for firearms, AR15, rifle, open carry walk from Google search. Open carry is still legal, right? What do you think why there isn't one? And what Mr. Mallooooy would feel/do if he looks down from his window and see hundreds of black rifles wandering around his office? |

Hi pi, how's it hangin' I'm the official night crew here on the hometown channel. Open carry handgun yes, but to some people you will get a police visit for open carrying because some people are afraid, so it's really best to conceal it or run the risk of disturbing the peace charge. Open carry an AR15? Are you nuts or something? You won't make 20 yards down main street before your encircled by 30 cops... Put it in a soft case to transport it to and from your car. I asked my wife & brother (police dispatcher & cop) 3 years ago If I could use my Harley to transport my AR15 slung over my shoulder to and from the gun range. Gas was expensive so I wanted to save a little, ride the bike more and test the waters. I almost got shot for just asking the question. They said every other car will call 911 to report a terrorist with a machine gun heading east, west whatever.. So that's why we can't show the guns in public today like 30 years ago. Sheepies are just scared of us.... Malloy is a douche, and I don't care for his methods of screwing the state and us gun owners. I can't wait to vote against him again! |

http://www.ct.gov/despp/lib/despp/slfu/faqs_06192013.pdf 13. Q: As a civilian, how can I lawfully transport my assault weapons and large capacity magazines to and from the places where I may legally possess them? A: With a Certificate of Registration, an assault weapon may be lawfully transported by car in the following manner: it must be unloaded and placed in the trunk of your vehicle or in a separate case or container in an area of the interior of the vehicle which is not readily accessible to either the operator or any passengers. When being transported outside a car, the assault weapon must be unloaded and unconcealed. Well, that's just nuts. You inviting undo attention to your self! So you take it out of the case in your car, carry the case in your left hand and the rifle in the right hand... Better yet, I carry my pistol with threaded barrel in my right hand and the gun bag in my left. Stupid laws are just stupid!

Hey, Pi!
Mornin' and welcome to the group. Seeing as you have had your questions answered pretty quickly, lets get you familiar with the group.. I hope you arent offended easily nor scared of a little odd banter from time to time. Oh, and get ready to answer this question from DanTSX: "Do you like glocks?" . Welcome to the home town forum! |

We kind of did do this at the three rally's at the capital
Not everyone open carried as it was not the focus. At the time, the AR's were not technically "assault weapons" and this was perfectly legal. Now they are all assault weapons and this is illegal as their possession and use is now restricted to. We may do this with non assault weapons |

Its nice to see the family growing. Be sure to check out the CCDL website, join them, its free. And donate if you can afford it. We should definitely pitch the idea of a walk to the CCDL. We can sling our non-"assault weapons" and OC our handguns. |
