In SB 1160 one of the chareristics that now makes a semi automatic rifle illegal is a pistol grip.
Anybody know if a non pistol grip stock like the Exhile Hammerhead could be a loophole? Assuming of course it was fitted on an otherwise already state compliant weapon ie no collapsing stock, no flash suppressor, etc |

Well, this ought to be good for those with long necks, look how much higher the stock brings the bore and sights!

| Yeah I don't understand that configuration either. If you go on to their site under configurations they show different setups. One looks like they just swapped out the pistol grip with the hammerhead. Who knows but if anyone has any insight it's much appreciated. |

Who knows but if anyone has any insight it's much appreciated. well according to the law a pistol grip is defined if your trigger finger or any of your fingers end up directly under the action of the weapon when gripping the grip (not exact defenition, but you get the point, its all on the angle of the grip) so that grip should be good to go, but the problem is what is considered a copy of one of the models listed in the ban to me, a copy is an exact repro of an original. so to me a stag is not a copy of an RRA and any AR with a ghey grip, is not a copy of an AR with a regular pistol grip and just thought of this, during the last ban, they used the word TYPE for certain guns, like the AK47, and that covered all AK 762x39s, regardless of manufacturer. and now they use the word COPY, so can TYPE and COPY mean the same thing? i would think not, and a copy is exactly that, just a copy of an original |
