So a few years ago I got a couple of 80 lowers that had 90% of the machining done on them. They just need some minor finishing, a couple of holes drilled here and there but nothing big. Broaching is done, buffer tube threading is done etc.. Is there anyone in CT that can give me a hand getting these two lowers finished up? I'm located in Stratford and will travel a reasonable distance to get it done.

Build party?  You have to do the work yourself.  If someone has access to a CNC machine a few people can get together and work on their lower receivers, under the supervision of the machinist.  Also you would need to compensate that person as well.  I have seen people on line in CA getting together, there is also a thread about a build party in OH.  Maybe we could get a build party in CT.  If so, I would be interested.

I think a build party would get a LOT of interest.

I made a mounting plate for the receiver to clamp in the vise and have all the drills and end mills, edge finder, dial  indicators. This talk of build party is nice but its a lot of work just to do one. The bridgeport shown in the previous post will work fine but time consuming without a digital readout, lots of very careful cranking and measuring if you want it to come out nice. You guys are welcome to use my tools if you want.

I basically need three holes drilled and the FCG cut out milled out a bit on one of them, that's it.

I'll be available this weekend. I do prefer bourbon to beer though.  I'm in Windsor which isn't too far away.

Is this GTG? 90% or 80%
So this guy is unsure if he can sell it w/o FFL because the mag well is milled out.. Am I correct in since it is not complete and firegroup is not drilled he can sell it to me w/o FFL? Thoughts?

I am in no way an expert on this, but I just ordered an 80% lower from American spirit arms and it was complete except for the hole for the safety selector and holes for two pins. The fcg was not milled either. Everything else was done, mag well etc.  I got it delivered right to my house. They have a letter from batfe or something on their website.  I'm pretty sure you're GTG

I have severe ADD (big surprise, right?)

An 80% receiver, and some big drill looking thing would not go well with me.

I'd get impatient and, then start hacking through it like a knucklehead, then walk away to go play angry birds.

I know a place that is going to start production of billet lowers, finished and 80% if the other place doesn't have any in stock yet.  I'll post up when I know more about it.
