Guys, I have a reloading setup that came my way a few years back. It is an older setup, and I've just come to the conclusions that with the house, the baby, and everything else keeping me busy, that I'm never going to get this thing set up. I've come to the conclusion that I am going to sell it, but have no idea what I should price the setup at. A lot of this stuff is old, from the late 70's trough early 80's, but solid as a brick, so I'm sure it is still servicable. No idea how long powder keeps though.
I need some help telling me what the market is for this type of setup. If you guys could give me some insight as to where to price this, it would be much appreciated. This is the nuts and bolts of the setup. There is a lot of miscelenious stuff that goes with it, but this is the main part. It also would come with shitloads of brass. One home bucket alone is full of 7mm rem mag, 10mm, 45acp, 40S&W, high qual brass. There is probably 150lbs of once-fired brass in all sorts of calibers. Lyman Spar-T turret reloading press (holds 6 dies) Lyman Spar-T auto-primer feed Lyman OHAUS M5 scale Redding Model #13 case trimmer 6 sets of dies – 38/357, 32, 308, 38 sp, 223 rem 3 resizing dies – 30/40, 223, 30-06 Misc bullets and primers Powder trickler 7 cans misc powder Wood reloading block Misc reloading manuals would pics help? Thanks guys. I don't even know what questions people would be asking me, so any help is appreciated. |

Dan I will give you (3) 30 round mags. This is a 375$ value. So you give me all of that and 100$ cash. Final offer. You think I was born yesterday?
C'mon guys, I need a ballpark figure. I'm thinking around the $800 range? Am I far off? Don't want to break it up. |

I think if you asked $350-400, you will have better luck I would be very impressed if you could get $800- hell, I will have you sell some stuff for me and give you a commission. If it were me and I were going to spend $800, I would get what I wanted right from the start- a Dillion! But that's just me, your mmv |

I checked a few comparables in the EE, and I'm seeing $600 for similar presses with less dies and a lot less accessories, brass, etc. and that is before shipping a bunch of heavy shit. I'll probably land somewhere in between. Checking around, reloading equipment has followed ammo prices and avaliability. |

Powder can be stored for a long time- almost forever, if stored in an original container.
Primers are good forever! You have to analyze asking and selling prices! Hazmat fees- your best bet is an instate sale, UPS can be a real pain in the ass cause you are not a hazmat trained And certefied shipper. They can be a real pain in the ass to deal with! Brass - can become to expensive to ship in bulk, best to sell in batches! Dies- No shortage of dies, don't want pay new prices for old equipment. My estimate was based on wanting to sell quick and instate, maybe you don't include some componenets and piece those out. Certain calibers of brass will command a premium. Same for certain caliber bullets- .308, .45 acp, ...... I don't want you to think I was low balling you, I really have no idea of what you have in total. I was mainly saying that for $800, I would buy what I wanted from the start. I have ........ Well that's another story. |

Lyman Spar-T turret reloading press (holds 6 dies).....50$ ...discontinued in 1969 Lyman Spar-T auto-primer feed.....30$ Lyman OHAUS M5 scale....30$ Redding Model #13 case trimmer...found one on internet for 8$..so let's say 15$ 6 sets of dies – 38/357, 32, 308, 38 sp, 223 rem......I see 357, 308, maybe 223 being easy sale. 32 and 38 not so much.. Maybe 150 on a good day 3 resizing dies – 30/40, 223, 30-06....maybe 15-20 $ apiece. Seen new redding resizing dies for 37.99 Misc bullets and primers...how many? If not a lot it would be filler. Are they cast bullets? Jhp? Cast lead is 0.20$/pound. Powder trickler...a new redding is <20$...so call it 10$ 7 cans misc powder.....used powder...can't tell ya. Wood reloading block......0$ freebee Misc reloading manuals....0$ freebee Your brass if you do in fact have 150 pounds is probably worth more than the equipment. Yellow brass at 150# is worth 1.75$ a pound in scrap. So your brass is $262.50 just in scrap. |
hahahahahah.
