Got the Glock 19 Gen 4 recently and now want a bigger brother. Looking at the Glock 20 and found a regular version and SF version. Love the feel of the SF but really want the Gen 4 but can not find one for the life of me. Like the grip texture, bigger mag release and heard the new recoil spring makes the G20 gen 4 even better. Just heard they released the Gen 4 20/29 at shot show, should I wait for the Gen 4 or just get the SF version in the dark day's ahead ?

Get a Glock 21SF or Gen 4 Glock 21 then get a conversion barrel or slide when they are avaliable.

Already have a .45 1911A1, plus I like how you can go to 3 other calibers with a change of barrel and no mag change. Can you do a 20 to 21 change with just the 21 complete slide ? Or only 21 to 20 with a complete 20 slide ?

I'm pretty sure that you can change slides between the two.

But I think that the conversion barrels are only from the .45 guns to the 10mm guns.  There are a few ways to do it.  Some require swapping extractors too, some don't.  Personally, I'd just spend the few extra $ on and entire slide, but I don't know what loads you'd be cooking.  The conversion barrels may make more sense if you are going nuclear, so you don't bow your brass, but that is getting into an area that I can only speculate on.  Not an expert there at all.
