"It’s a reasonable act
In a unreasonable time At the very least , People we sell this type of firearm to have had some basic training It’s all about Safety" Taken from Hoffman's facebook page. Come again? How is this about all about safety? As far as I know, people haven't been blowing parts of their bodies off by accident and from a lack of training? |

Smells like
Damage control
The AR-15 requires no more safety instruction than any other gun. Pistol permit holders are no safer at handling guns than those that do not. The holes in Scott's floor should attest to that. I won't hold it against you guys though, because I know the next step in this backpedaling fiasco is to quietly forget all about it. If you guys do, I'll do the same. |

I've had loaded handguns pointed at me twice on his range, presumably by permit holders, who have no clue what they are doing. |

I called Hoffman's this morning and talked to the owner. I let him know that I do not agree with the new requirements. The discussion was very civil and he seemed to listen to my opinions, but we were in total disagreement that the new requirements were a positive thing for the CT gun community. At the end I let him know that I respect his right as the owner of the store to set his own policies, but as customer of his business for over 15 years, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
This really sucks. First it was Riverview with their crazy ammo policy and now Hoffman's
