Hey guys,
About a week away from ordering a stripped lower for my first build, just curious what you guys are paying around the state for FFL charges? Riverview Gun is the closest shop to me and I go there regularly for ammo and parts etc, but they charge $30 for used and $50 for new FFL transfers. (and $100 for saying a new is used) The lower is new, and I explained to them its a stripped lower not a complete weapon but they are not budging, and if you ask me paying $50 extra for a stripped lower is absurd. So I would like to weigh some other options. Thanks. |

Stripped lower or pintle-mount belt-fed, you pay for the service, not the size.
Is $50 too much? What are the others charging? $40, $35? What is your time worth? Kitchen table FFLs will always give you a better price. You may want to find one. Most of the low fee FFLs get tired of the broke dick crowd and raise theiir fees. The guys insisting that they pay no more than $15 for a transfer will drive 2 hours across the state and into the boonies to save the $10 - $15 anyways. For $50 though, that FFL better deliver to my door or have nice tits. |

Delta Arsenal in Meriden charges $20. +1 for Delta Arsenal. Doug has been generous enough to charge me the same $20 (total) for as many as 3 lowers as long as they were from the same sender. They had a guy named Rodney running the store for a while who was giving the place a bad name, but he is gone now. |

Quoted: You could just drive to a shop that carries stripped lowers, might be cheaper to spend the money on gas rather than on ffl transfer fees. This! You can regularly find in-stock lowers in the $100 range or less, call around and ask. Unless it's a preban lower that you want to transfer in - then you go ahead and spend the extra $50 for the transfer. |

Or how much will you spend on gas finding a cheaper place? I dont know the answer to any of those yet, hahaha, thats why I asked what others are paying. Like I posted, I would like to weigh out my options. Ill probably be checking out Delta Arsenal because it wont cost me $30 to get to Meriden and back, so I would already be saving some dough. Im probably going to call a few shops and see what they have in stock too, if someones got what Im looking for then maybe Ill head out to them. I just don't know yet. As always, thanks for the replies guys! O yea DanTSX, no door to door and no tits whatsoever. hahaha |

Never had a problem with him, I thought he was alright and spent quite a bit of cash with him. He had some real nice firearms of his own too. |

I think he was more of a partner brought in to run the day-to-day in the store. Either way, Doug says Rodney's not with them anymore. I like dealing with Doug anyway. The newer fellow, Bobby, is a pleasure to deal with too. |

I wouldn't bother transferring a stripped postban lower. There are enough places that carry them around here that would make transferring one probably both more expensive and even if it's a hair cheaper its a much bigger hastle.
Just my .02 ETA: Nvm lots of people beat me to it. |

Remarcable Arms in Wallingford charges $33.00.
The gun does not have to come from a dealer for me to do the transfer. Contact me if I can be any help. [email protected] |

I would agree with the other guys saying to pick up a new stocked lower at a shop, but I forgot to add that the lower is coming out of the EE, and Riverview also needs it to be shipped from an FFL, making a super cheap matched upper/lower pretty expensive. I will definitely be in contact with you by mid September. Thanks!!! |
