For us in CT is the stock on these rifles a no go in CT. I have never seen one up close so I was wondering if they are considered a collapsable stock. If so can they be pinned to make them compliant.

Not necessarily - just checked on Bushmaster's site for the ACR, as I'd like to get one in the future, as well.  They do have a "ban compliant" model available.  I'm sure Remington would have a similar offering.

I've seen a few ACRs for sale locally, SCAR is harder to find but they do show up.  Obviously, they are made compliant the same way an AR would be, which is a damn shame.

Given that the ACRs are being recalled right now, you're probably going to see a decrease of them in the stores, but in general there are CT-compliant ACRs at K-5 Arms Exchange in Milford as well as JoJo's. PWS556 brake permanently attached and pinned stock.

The CT-compliant SCAR is less common, but both K-5 and JoJo's also get them in. With the SCAR, the preferred method of making them CT-compliant is to use the VLTOR receiver extension (it's like an AR) and pin it like any other AR stock.  Modifying the original SCAR stock is against most religions. PWS556 also is the most common brake used.
