Woohoo!!!
Good riddance!!! |

Good Riddance, indeed.
However.......ever work really hard to climb a mountain only to find another, bigger mountain behind that one? That's what we'll be looking at with Blumenthal's candidacy. His favorables are 59% in this state. Most citizens of this state look at him as the guy who gets the most for Connecticut by suing non-stop anyone and any company in the world should he feel they owe us something. Unfortunately, those same voters don't see the guy who would put any company out of business here in CT for the same reason and many of his past decisions have severely hurt the small businesses in this state . He is NOT a business friendly AG by any means. Whomever gets the nod to run against him will be fighting an uphill battle for sure. He can be beat, but it's going to require someone who is willing to really play the true-conservative part and not some middle-of-the-road moderate wishy washy politician trying to play both sides. This has to be a battle of philosophies: liberal vrs conservative. I believe even though there are many more liberals registered in this state, we can win. Obama isn't running so there are no coat-tails to jump onto so he'll be running on his record. Maybe we can beat him but it's going to be bloody. Rome |

Quoted: Quoted: yepThe Democrats forced Dodd to retire because they knew he would lose. This opens the door to run Blumenthal, who will most assuredly win and keep the seat in the Democrats' hands. This was a brilliant move by the Dems. trade one evil for another Hard to imagine the new guy would be any worse. ![]() |

Hard to imagine the new guy would be any worse. If Blumenthal wins he could quite possibly be much worse than Dodd. Blumenthal is very anti 2A and he is a media whore. He tried to illegally grab the bonuses of the AIG executives among other things. He's always showing up on TV whenever something that the far left loves is in the news. He made a public fool of himself on Glenn Beck's TV show last year. The video of that episode will be a gold mine for his opponents. Sad thing is though people here love the guy so he's already got a huge leg up on everyone else running.

But it opens up the door for an AG that will actually be friendly towards the businesses in this state, and not try as hard as Super Dick did in trying to shut every business down. Mike Lawlor mentioned an interest in the AG seat. Fucking douchebag. After the crap he tried to pull against the church? Yeah, good luck with getting elected to a statewide office... |

Those one votes are no joke in the senate. Just look at how ridiculously close the healthcare bill was. If simmons is there instead of Dodd, very possible we have a different outcome. Unfortunately, Dodd dropping out of the election significantly increases the Democrat's chances of winning |

Former Greenwich (D) state senator, and DICK Blumenthal protege, George Jepson said he intends to run for the A.G. position. This is the same George Jepson who helped author and was the MAIN sponsor of the Ct "assault weapons" ban. This guy calls Blumenthal the "Gold Standard" for attorney generals. |
