From what I understand, the CT Assault Weapon Ban basically mirrors the old Fed ban, with the addition of a number of "listed" guns, correct?

Like the defunct Fed ban, you are allowed one evil feature, correct?

For purposes of the ban, would a permanently attached 3-lug adapter be acceptable?  Meaning, if you have a non-Colt AR15/9mm with a pistol grip, could you permanently attach a 3-lug to the end of the barrel and still be ban compliant?

I realize that installing a silencer on the 3-lug mount would essentially be adding a flash-hider and so could not be done in-state.  But that would make it easier to do when taking the gun out of state.

The other option I suppose, would be to get one of the cans with a quick-detach mount with a built in muzzle brake permanently installed.  But the 3-lug is more common.

The pistol grip is your one feature, so you can't have anything else on an AR. A pinned brake is fine, but a flash hider isn't. Though, every muzzle device I've seen that is capable of having a can attached to it would be considered a flash hider.

A pinned three lug would be fine in CT.  There seems to be debate whether attaching a suppressor constitutes a FH.  You will be happier having a preban lower for your AR while living in CT; not only for the evil features, but for the peace of mind.

Also, there is no mag ban in CT like the Fed ban had.
