SFGA ANNUAL RAPID FIRE D-DAY MATCH

OPEN TO: Anyone. NRA membership prefered.

DATES: June 8th , 2008. Firing starts at 0830. Prep period starts 3 minutes before firing time.

PLACE: Scarborough Fish & Game Association, 79 Holmes Road, Scarborough, Maine. Located across the road from Beechridge Speedway.

ENTRIES: Limited to 45 competitors. Advance registrations accepted. Preference to Juniors, then NRA members.

FEES: Registration fee $20.00. Make checks payable to Scarborough Fish & Game Association.

RIFLE:
Any rifle used during the invasion of the Normandy Coast June 6th, 1944. Only rifles with Iron sights may be used. Fixed bayonets are optional. Swedish Mausers accepted. NO OTHER RIFLES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE LINE.

OPEN BOLT INDICATOR: Will be required to be used. Available for $1.50.

COURSE OF FIRE: 80 shots – HUMAN SILHOUETTE TARGET
There will not be any sighting rounds allowed
Stage 1; Any position, 30 record, 300 yards, 5 minutes
Stage 2; Any position, 25 record, rapid fire, 200 yds, 3 Minutes,
Stage 3; Any position, 25 record, rapid fire, 100 yds, 150 seconds (2 ½ minutes)
Stages will start with a loaded chamber.

MATCH: Aggregate of Stages 1 thru 3.

EQUIPMENT: Rifle, field gear (canteen, bayonet, ammo belt), No - stools, spotting scopes (binoculars okay), shooting mats (shelter halves okay).

CLASSIFICATION: ALL SHOOTERS WILL COMPETE IN ONE CLASS.

AWARDS: There will be awards for each of the top five shooters.

SCORING: Shooters will score in pairs, shooters 1&2 score each other, etc.

DIRECTIONS:
From Maine Turnpike ( I-95 ) Exit 42; Turn left onto Payne Road. Proceed along Payne Road about 6/10 mile and turn left onto Holmes Road. Proceed about two miles to far end of Beechridge Speedway. Turn right onto dirt road to club.  Drive past covered pistol ranges, sporting clays, archery, and the clubhouse.  Pass trap road on your left.  300yd line parking and registration will be on your right, the rifle target pit is at the end of the road.

Forgot to mention, the Scarborough Cabela's will be open that day as well, should someone need something to do after the match or an added excuse to make the trip.

The Cabela's grand opening is 5PM May 15th, Same I-95 exit, #42.  You won't be able to miss it.
