| I'm looking into applying for a Type 03 FFL, and I have a question regarding the application process. It says by federal regulation that I'm required to send a signed original form to the local CLEO. Now, would this be the Chief of the city I live in, or the Sheriff of the county I live in? |

For NH, I would say that as long as your town has a police chief, he's the man to file it with. He'll probably do what a lot of chiefs do and "round file" it! My chief never even looks at it . . . when I asked him if he got mine he said "what?" then he said, "probably the secretary has it and filed it". Just do it and don't sweat it. I just drop mine off at the PD each time. |
