| Dang that's a shorty! Gives me bad memories of having to qualify with the 870 full of buckshot during the police academy. My shoulder still hurts every time I see one one of those. I was fortunate though, I qualified quickly but those who didn't....well, they had shoulders that looked like something out of a horror movie. |

Looks like its around a 12" bbl, I assume you have the proper tax stamp? 12 1/2" right down to the .000" thats why I used RAS. Most people measure from muzzle to where it hits the receiver The way I do it and the right way is bolt face to muzzle. Had Steve Rose cut, crown, thread for rem-choke. I know lots of people say to lengthen and polish the forcing cone on a SBS is a waste of money but I have shot the same SBS with 2 different 14' barrels 1 with and 1 without makes a difference with a good recoil pad. Also improved shot pattern with turkey choke and loads, no difference in 00, 000 buck Cyl.choke patterns that we could see. I had the forcing cone lengthen and polished while it was in the shop. Do I need a tax stamp for a shotgun? |
