That was hilarious and sad at the same time.  I'm not surprised at the responses though, a lot of people don't watch or care but they don't want to be outed on TV for being apathetic.  It's always interesting when they do these kinds of interviews.  I saw one during a tea party rally where the interviewer picked out people who were protesting more vigorously than others and asked them questions about the subject they were so angry about and they were completely wrong, as if they took history lessons in another country! They talked to several people who were frothing mad at things that didn't even exist and when the interviewer asked where they learned about this "issue" they would say from a friend or they read about it on an internet forum or other source not related to the actual issue.  Was really eye opening.

Saw the same thing done at a gun control rally and these people were clueless, talking about how we have to ban machine guns and anyone over 18 can buy a fully automatic weapon at gun shows...the point being there's a large percentage of people who base their knowledge on a controversial subject on what they have read on websites and forums or from friends.  If you've been on this forum any length of time you've seen it here many times just like every other forum that may have a political leaning in one direction or another.  It's no wonder is so difficult to come to agreements on controversial political issues, half the people on each side are hopelessly uneducated on the subject and would rather get irate over something they read on a website or heard about from a friend than take the time to research if it was even true to begin with.  You don't have to be highly educated these days of the internet to find the facts you just have to be willing.  Complacency and apethy are America's real most dangerous diseases.

Sorry, got off on a tangent there.
