they're readily available both local (Cold Hand Arms, Sooner State, Mark's Firearms, Village Tactical, etc.) and online, and as cheap as they"ve been for a while.
i been buyin them cheap and stacking them deep, while i can.
because the time to buy things is when you can get it, when everything is unavailable is a poor time to buy.

didn't Brandi have a used one? maybe my memory's failing.

Pretty much what everyone else said.

Cold Hand Arms has always treated me right.  Steve will take the time to educate someone even if he doesn't sell anything that day.

Sooner State and 7 Element have as well . Sooner State has lots of used guns and will deal on them.

As mentioned, several places have them in stock, and at reasonable prices, Sooner State has 2 stores in OKC:

I've dealt with Andy at Village Tactical a few times, Good Dude.

Picked up a stripped lower and a LPK from Sooner State Pawn. Their website was not updated and the complete lower they advertised was gone. The Spikes Tactical lower I purchased as oversized FCG pin holes. That pisses me off. Not just a little loose but sloppy loose and the pins will more than likely walk out after firing. LPK was from Windham Weaponry, (the former Bushmaster guys).

Spike's Tactical could slap their logo on a bucket of sand and sell it in the desert, I'll never understand why people continue to buy their products.

I'm disappointed the holes are oversized on the Spike's lower, I thought they had better quality control than that.  However, the size of the holes has nothing to do with pins walking, the pins are retained by the hammer springs, a spring internally in the hammer retains the hammer pin, and one of the legs of the hammer spring rests in one of the grooves in the trigger pin to retain it.  The holes would have to be just about 50% larger than spec before the springs shouldn't be able to retain them.

Some KNS anti rotation pins will remove all worries. 7Element probably has some in stock. I for one would not buy a new lower from anyone else.

just for fun. have you tried any other pins? there's a thread in here (arfcom) somewhere thats titled something like ".154" pins in a .156" hole" or something similar.
it may have a bearing on your plight. or not, i didn't read it.

Its certainly possible the pins are out of spec.

I tried a set of .154 pins and they were loose as well. I've built a couple dozen lowers and these were even larger than the screwed up holes on the first 80% lower I built. Had a DPMS lower with oversize holes and the Spikes are the biggest I've seen.

The slots in the pins are supposed to prevent the pins from walking but my experience tells me this is not the case. The pin slots are smaller than the diameter of  the spring wire and don't have much purchase on the wire. The DPMS lower I had would walk the pins after 30 rds or so.

I would send that to Spike's and give them a chance to make it right.

ETA... Or, saw it up and post pics in this thread!

Maybe I'll throw it down the drive way to make it look used.

I've only had one Spike's lower and it's perfect so I dunno.

Looks like Mark's is selling the Spikes for the same price as Sooner State.
