As a season ticket holder for the first 12 years of ther Texas Motor Speedway I've experienced the end of Nascar Cup races during the day (250K beered up people leaving at once).
I've been through Indy Car night races where the attendance was much less, about 60k and the attending mass confusion wasn't TOO magnified by darkness, portable work lights and just general darkness. Tonight though right now as I type this they're racing Nascar, and iI'm as close right now as i want to be. The race should be over by 10ish, and those unfortunate or inexperienced enough to park close may well still be there at dawn. After the first couple years we developed a sysyenm to beat the rush, we got it down well. We could go from sitting in the motel room to siting in our seats in less than a hour. We parked at least a mile and a half away, and hiked out.(carrying everything) So it looks as if i've missed the chance to be in the first Cup night race at Texas. It was fun, but enough became enough. |

Heretics!
Heathens! Pagans! Democrats! (no liberal tree hugging PETA PITA's in NACSAR!) Whan i saw how much the movie "42" made this weekend i thought "why did a movie about suck ass Kyle Petty (#42) do so well?" And this race was sponsored by the the NRA,and Fox used canera angles that didn't show the massive NRA logo in the infield much. Who'da thunk it? |
