“I will continue to strongly oppose any effort to undermine the Second Amendment and an individual citizen's right to keep and bear arms.”

Inhofe Full Statement

ETA: Coburn is a lil more worrisome-

I also support the president’s call for Congress to vote on these measures and I will review his recommendations in detail. Some have asked whether I will try to block or filibuster this debate because of my support of the Second Amendment. My goal is the opposite.

You can take it to the bank that I will vote against both these two faced (can't think of a bad enough word).

First they both vote for the White House (I refuse to ever again mention the miscreant's name) and the fiscal cliff thing

and then try to tell me it was for the farm bill.  Crap, the farm bill is 40% food stamps.

I think I'm a Libertarian.  I'm damn sure not a republican or a democrat.

If our State law makers fold we are in deep kimchee.

OK2A has some real workers in it and it is a good organization for us to get involved in.

They do a great amount of lobbying in defense of our rights under the second amendment.

Yep, Sen Finkstein's AWB bill will be heard the 22nd of this month.
Watch how the vote will be held by hand, no record of how they individually vote.
It is all a show.

I've spoken on the phone to the staff of both, and was told adamantly that they don't agree with assault weapon bans or magazine bans. Chances are, the particular bits in question are just them making it look like they actually are looking at it fairly instead of going in with their minds made already.

Believe them at your own risk.

They have nothing to gain and everything to lose by supporting a gun bill. Just saying. Oklahoma was entirely red in the election, and is an extremely pro gun state. Why would they intentionally piss off the vast majrity of their constituents to make Obama happy, and a bunch of Democrats who won't vote for them anyway?

Like I said, you won't really know how they vote if it is politically dangerous for Congress.
You cannot trust most politicians. You influence them by fear or by buying them.

I would honestly be surprised if they voted for any kind of AWB or Mag limit.

Not because I trust them, but because I trust politicians to do what they believe is best for their career, and that would basically be the end of their careers in this state if the voted for one of those.

If it is a liability across the nation, the vote will be held secretly.
You'll never know how they really voted, no matter what they say.
