My new Grendel upper has shipped!!!! And, although it's not in my hands yet, I decided it needs a big sister so I'm sealing the deal on a Beowulf upper to keep her company

Now I have to start the search for some serious bargain dedicated lowers for them.

Edit: It's official, I'm the owner of a new (well almost new) Beowulf! YAY! I wonder if H&H will let me shoot it there...I know they won't allow 50 BMG for obvious reasons.  I suppose I better start hunting down some ammo for it

Yup...I bought 4 boxes of the Hornady 123 grain A-Max.

Since my budget is very small at the moment I'm limiting myself to 'bargain' used lowers, should I find some that is.

Still haven't decided on a scope for the Grendel....

Congrats on the Wulf!  You may want to start reloading for that and the Grendel.  I have both and factory ammo isn't cheap, but reloading isn't bad at all.  What type of budget lowers are you looking at?  Also, save up your pennies and get a REALLY nice scope for the Grendel.  That caliber really shines at really long distances.  Hopefully you have access to a long range.

Shooting those two calibers you desperately need to reload your own ammo. There's plenty of help over in the reloading forum.

I'm jealous, those are very cool uppers.

Looking for good quality complete lowers although I don't need stocks...the Grendel is getting a Tactical Intent "Kitty Pink" buttstock to match the pink Hogue forend that Loki put on for me and the Beowulf is getting probably a Magpul with an extra thick recoil pad. I will probably put an after market trigger on whichever lower goes on the Grendel.

Another benefit of buying local...got the notice my Grendel upper was delivered for shipment yesterday....scheduled delivery date? Today

Now I just have to hope the carrier stays on schedule, which from past experience, doesn't inspire confidence.

GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!  The upper arrived today and is beautiful except for.....the forend is bent halfway to one side of the barrel! I don't know if it happened during shipping or what, I can't imagine Loki letting it leave the factory like that. There's a gap in between the end of the forend and the barrel that's 7/16" on one side and 3/4" on the other. I'm just about to have a fit Sent an email with picture to Erik at Loki so I'm sure I'll hear from him tomorrow because I refuse to accept it in this condition
