Even though I have two ARs in the planning stage, an RCO to be ordered this year and another AR to put guts back in.... Whats a good, inexpensive .22lr? Doesn't matter how its loaded but a box mag would be a +
Not looking for anything match grade, just a plinker I can shoot when my AR(s) become to expensive to shoot for a day at the range. |

yep a 10/22 gets my vote also for mag fed; plus it has a shitload of aftermarket support if you want to throw money into it.
although you may find a marlin model 60 for cheap either the 16shot rifle or 10 shot carbine, they're both real decent shooters in my experience. |

That's the wood stock and blued barrel version... It's $187 at WalMart. The synthetic stock and stainless barrel is $197 at WalMart. I just bought the SS version and it's very light and easy to work with Cool. My Wal-Mart was $217 for the wood stock & blued barrel and they didn't have it in stock (for weeks). |

yep everybody needs to have a 10/22 and a 22/45. 22/45????
yep, get you a 22/45 and I'll show you how to shoot it Don't need to. I'm sure I can show you how to shoot yours. Just like I showed our favorite jarhead how to shoot his 1911.
Sorry, C, I had to bring that up too.

I aint gonna lie dan, you did show me a few things about it. I did notice that when I did the "Self defense" draw and shoot, I did better with that then the casual shots. With my 1911, I just took what I know/learned with the M9 and applied it to my 1911, like reload drills, draw... Things like that. Admitingly, I still have a few things to learn about it and a few things to practice to become more effective with it. Im more at home with a rifle but I love me some 1911... hence why I got it What Wal-mart you guys seeing these 10/22s at? I haven't seen barely a Daisy or Red rider at the Belle isle walmart or the one on 240 and Shields. |

The Walmart on I-35 in Norman sells guns still... Even a Bushy AR15 That's where I got mine at +1 they'll still special order any rifle listed on their website also; you just print out the item description, take it in and they call when it arrives. least thats how I got my 10/22; didn't want the carbine version so I special ordered the rifle version |

I'm speaking from 10s of thousands of rounds out of the dozen or more 1911s I've owned over the years. More trigger time with a gimped up old fart you know and you'll be DAMN GOOD. | I guess I'm the only one who refuses to board the 10/22 bandwagon. I have a Remington 597 that I really enjoy shooting. My little sister has a Savage Model 64 semi-auto that is a great little gun, and a buddy of mine has a Savage Mark II bolt-action that is also a great little .22 rifle. |

I lost track of all the other 22s I have. The 10/22s get shot the most. |
